On April 25, 2008 we received the devastating news that Antoine van Daele, our friend and board member of the Wasmoeth Wildlife Foundation, had passed away in Slovakia.

Antoine has been very instrumental in coaching the many projects with which the Foundation is involved.

Antoine was a true conservationist with a realistic approach to the opportunities and limitations we are facing today in protecting the wildlife of Africa.

His friendship, his quick sense of humor, his generosity and his ongoing expert advice will be greatly missed.
